Castle in the Air: Offshoot 2026

From the Allegory series (1995–present)

The work exists as a set of conditions from which successive forms emerge. In this movement, it extends into varied forms, with the image residing at the threshold of its own formation, never fully settled in any one body.

Studio Act, 2026

Conceived as a work of Arte Útil, Studio Act claims cultural production as a public benefit. This participatory legislative intervention proposes changing the category of studio use so artists can remain in place and new artistic communities can take root in New York.

Art vs. Gentrification, 2009

Borrowing the directness of posters and propaganda, the work is an appeal to bring artists back to Manhattan. Presented in December 2009 at SALA 02 in New York, a salon hosted by Carl Stein, Tom Abraham and John Barboni of Elemental Architecture, it combined a spoken address with twenty-two projected images and was followed by debate and critique from artists in the audience.

The John Weber Interviews, 2004

Organized into thematic chapters, the film presents John Weber in conversation with Anne-Brigitte Sirois on art dealing, gallery philosophy, and the importance of supporting younger artists. Comparing the art world of the 1970s with later decades, he discusses pioneering SoHo, collecting, Dan Flavin, and artists’ place in society. Filmed in 2004, toward the end of his professional career, Weber shares his views with candor and humor.
